Life isn't the same anymore

Chapter1 Finding —Jason, run!- Mary shouted, leading about a dozen infected individuals. —Where's Tom? —We decided to split up to get a quicker look at the building, and then we went our separate ways! The situation was tense, and the last thing the group wanted was to see their friend's body torn up by the spiky-headed creatures or to witness him among the hordes of infected. —Mary, in here!-Jason called, leading her into the dark room. Jason slammed the heavy iron door shut and hastily locked it with all available locks. Although it was quite dark, there were no sounds of the infected. —Where's that stupid switch? —I found it!-Mary flicked the switch, and a faint, flickering light filled the room. —It looks so... neat in here. Tables with test tubes, scalpels, and medicines were scattered throughout the room. After a quick survey, Jason suggested checking the rest of the room. —You go to the right room, and I'll go to the left.- Jason nodded

~A Loving Neko Welcomes You Home~

It had been a hot and tiresome day. The want to return home was powerful, pulling you like the hand of a friend. Back to your couch and more simple pleasures afforded by your modest lifestyle. Prompt challenge: Shoes.

You can tell a lot about someone by the shoes they wear. I should know, I spend my days watching people and in particular their shoes. I can tell you so much about an individual by their shoes. A young lady with high heels for example, first I don’t see how women wear such uncomfortable shoes. The angles are so abnormal. But I digress. Young lady in high heels, I could tell by their markings they were high quality designer shoes. Given she was just a teenager I knew she was a spoiled rotten child with wealthy parents. She probably had a closet full of such shoes. Man with worn combat boots. Obviously a veteran, the boots still seem
